I get around 50 matches a day, and my usual strategy within the first two messages is to ask the girl out and grab her number to get off the app.
About 1 in every 100 matches, I’ll get a response like:
"Sorry, I’m not comfortable sharing my number, do you have Instagram instead?"
Here’s my dilemma: I deleted all social media 10 years ago and love it. I’d never go back. But beyond that, I’m genuinely baffled by the security logic here.
On your IG, I could potentially figure out your regular coffee spot, where you hang out, who your friends are, and where you’ve been recently. A phone number, on the other hand, is literally just 10 blank digits.
To the 99% of ladies who share their number: What makes you comfortable handing over 10 digits to a match and why aren't you worried ?
To the 1% who stick to IG: What’s the main concern with sharing a phone number, given that an IG profile reveals way more personal details (friends, favorite spots, recent activity)?
